About Me
Hello! I'm Mike Zaharof. I am a graphic designer and photographer based in the Metro-Detroit area. I have been fascinated with photography since a very early age. I was given my first camera (a Kodak Instamatic 100) in kindergarten. I remember my first experience taking snapshots at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo and how exciting it was to see my prints later. Although things in photography have changed a little in the past ... "however many" years, I still feel the same sense of anticipation and excitement when picking up my camera.
My photography style ranges from photojournalistic to conceptual portraiture. Although I focus primarily on family portraiture, weddings and seniors, I also capture corporate events, product photography, industrial photography, nature projects and much more. Some of my corporate work has been featured on the cover of some trade magazines and published in several industry technical manuals.
I enjoy photographing clients who are looking for something a little different and more fun. I feel that generating the best possible portrait is about capturing your personality, not just what you look like. I also feel that laughter is one of the best ways to have fun during a photo shoot.
